HR Development Assistant
“I started on a temporary basis, in HR, and then was offered a six month contract, followed by a permanent one.
I'm part of a team of four, responsible for the company's training programmes. We want to ensure that people get the most out of their job, so we are dedicated to the training and development of everyone.
The internal programmes are extremely varied and range from presentation skills, to negotiation and leadership.
I'm also responsible for the daily organisation of courses that come from our Performance Management Scheme. In addition to this I help run the assessment and development centre, for individuals wanting to develop specific skills on two to three day external courses.
It's very rewarding to be keeping people happy in their job, supporting them for their plans for the future, by developing them in the right direction.
I get to talk to people all across the company, at all levels, so over time I've got to know almost everyone, which gives a great sense of belonging."
