“I studied A levels, then lived abroad for a while. When I
returned to the UK I was looking for a secretarial role and wanted
to work in a large company, so that I could have opportunity to develop
more responsibility, as it arose. This happened quickly at B.I. as
I have developed through secretarial roles into a customer facing
administration role.
My responsibilities include monitoring stock of our vitamins, legs
and laxative products, some of which are manufactured in Switzerland.
Most stock is sold through major grocers and if there's ever a problem
it's my job to liaise between our account managers and the stores.
I also create the wholesale orders once a month, and provide support
to the sales team by managing their invoices and monitoring their
promotional spend.
I like solving problems, such as replenishing stock and getting last
minute orders in on time. I also work closely with the account managers,
who aren't based in the office, but we've got to know one another
really well, so work as a team.
I really enjoy my role and have managed to develop myself already,
through several internal and external training courses and know they'll
be more scope for this to happen in the future.
