Medical
Our Medical Division is responsible for all medical services including
drug development, marketing support, product registration and pharmaco
vigilance (regulatory) services. One of the major roles of the division
is to coordinate the drug development process in order to produce world-class
pharmaceutical products.
We have an excellent reputation in the medical industry and with the
relevant regulatory authorities, for developing products that are safe
and effective. We work in partnership with our customers in the medical
profession to meet their needs and those of their patients.
Our work is carried out by the following teams:
- Clinical Research - responsible for designing, setting up, monitoring and reporting clinical trials for potential new products. We play an important part in national and international trials working in therapy areas such as cardiovascular, respiratory and virology (viruses).
- Biometrics and Data Management - work closely with clinical researchers worldwide in evaluating the data from clinical trials prior to submission to the regulatory authorities.
- Regulatory Affairs - ensure accuracy when supplying evidence to regulatory bodies that a new treatment is as safe and effective as possible.
- Drug Safety Compliance and Quality - actively promotes the safe use of our products by analysing adverse effects, so that potential problems can be identified. As an ethical company we monitor all adverse effects experienced by patients, with the aim of protecting their well being.
Marketing support is provided by:
- Medical Information - respond to enquiries from our customers and our sales and marketing teams.
- Health Economics and Outcomes Research - conduct economic evaluation of products taking into account such factors as cost effectiveness and quality of life.
- Medical Affairs - also offer technical expertise to the other departments in the division.
The Medical Division comprises a team of 120 diverse scientific professionals who are extremely motivated and customer and patient focused. When looking to recruit, the experience and qualifications that we demand depends on the specific role. Our choice is always for highly motivated people who are customer and patient-focused, with good verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work cross-culturally is also essential, as the division has an increasingly international workforce, which also makes us an exciting place to work.
