Bisolvon® Injection and Powder is indicated as an aid to the treatment of respiratory disease in cattle (pigs and small animals) where mucus is a complicating factor. Bisolvon leads to the production of less viscous mucous and increases the concentration of administered antibiotics. Bisolvon is available in an injectable and oral formulation.
Metacam 20mgs/ml Solution for Injection for cattle and pigs. Metacam Injection (2%) is a non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) licensed for the treatment of bovine mastitis, calf pneumonia and calf scour. It is a potent and long acting NSAID giving 3 days effect from a single injection of 2.5mls/100kg bodyweight and can be given by the SC or IV routes.
Metacam Injection is a potent anti-endotoxic, anti-inflammatory, anti-pyretic and analgesic drug. As well as being used to treat endotoxic mastitis it has been shown to provide significant clinical benefits in non toxic mastitis by suppressing fever, inflammation and controlling the pain associated with the disease.
In calf pneumonia, it provides a convenient adjunctive therapy to long acting antibiotics and has been shown to provide long term benefits by improving live weight gain during the 90 days following treatment compared with flunixin.
Mamyzin® Injection contains penethamate hydriodide, an ester of penicillin which delivers high concentrations of bacteriocidal antibiotic to the udder. It is recommended particularly for the treatment of clinical and sub-clinical mastitis due to Strep. uberis. Once daily injections provide bacteriocidal levels of antibiotic above the MIC for strep. uberis for > 23 hours after each administration.
Available in 10 x 5g powder with diluent for reconstitution, Mamyzin should be administered once daily for 4 days. The withdrawal period for milk is 72 hours after the last injection.
Buscopan Compositum® is an injectable combination of metamizole, a NSAID and butylscopomine bromide, a spasmolytic agent, for use in cattle, horse and dogs. In cattle, it is indicated for control of diarrhoea, specifically where intestinal spasm is present.
Voren Suspension® is a long-acting corticosteroid indicated for the treatment of acetonaemia in cattle. It provides a duration of effect up to 4 days and unlike other corticosteroids, provides minimal depression of milk yield.
Trinacol® Injection is an injectable trimethoprin/sulphadiazone suitable for the treatment of a range of susceptible infection in most species.
