BI appoints sales and marketing director for prescription medicines

Boehringer Ingelheim has appointed Mark Connolly as Sales and Marketing Director, Prescription Medicine with responsibility for the company’s portfolio of products across primary and secondary care.

Mark has been Marketing Director for the hospital division since 1998. He joined Boehringer Ingelheim in 1978 as a sales representative and then went on to work in sales training and business development. He spent 4 years at Boehringer’s headquarters in Ingelheim where he was responsible for implementing the business strategy in northern Europe. He came back to the UK to take up a post as Marketing Director of the Hospital Division in 1998.

Announcing his new position Mark said:

‘I am looking forward to what is going to be a very challenging role. Bringing the secondary and primary care divisions together under one management enables us to work closer together to provide a better service to our customers across all sectors.’
